Open Access Journals in Scopus:
- Not all open access journals in Scopus are listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).
- Some journals in Scopus are hybrid open access, meaning they offer a mix of open access and subscription-based articles, rather than being entirely open access.
- The DOAJ only includes pure open access journals, which are defined as peer-reviewed journals that do not charge readers or institutions for access to their content.
DOAJ Requirements:
- To be listed in the DOAJ, journals must ensure free access to their entire content without delay (i.e., no embargo period).
- Journals must also permit users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text of articles.
